CTC presents at two national conferences
CTC is presenting at 2 national conferences this Summer.

Colum Gibson will be presenting on the Stop Food Waste Programme at the National Anaerobic Digestion and Composting Conference 2011 on Friday 27 May at the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny. The Conference is hosted by Cre and further details available here.

The STOP Food Waste Programme (www.stopfoodwaste.ie) was initiated in 2009 and is being implemented by CTC. It is funded under the Environmental Protection  Agency’s National Waste Prevention Programme (NWPP). Stop Food Waste has two key functions: to educate the general public about  food waste and how it can be prevented, and to promote home composting through hands-on demonstration. This national programme  involves a wide range of countrywide initiatives but also works closely with local authorities in support of their own projects.

Colum is also presenting at ResourceWise 2011 - National Waste Prevention Programme Conference 2011 on June 01 at the Radisson Blu St. Helen’s Hotel in Dublin. The Conference is hosted by the EPA and further details available here.

Colum's presentation is based on Waste Prevention in the Household & Community sector and will feature information on the Stop Food Waste Programme, Local Authority Prevention Network, Green Home Programme and other initiatives focusing on household and community based waste prevention.
